Instructions for ordering stainless steel screws

Stainless steel generally refers to steel that has the ability to resist corrosion by air, water, acid, alkali salt or other media. According to the different alloy components, the focus is on rust resistance and acid resistance. Although some steels are rust-proof, they are not necessarily acid-resistant, and acid-resistant steels are usually rust-proof. Austenitic stainless steel is mainly used for the production of fasteners. In people's daily life, the stainless steel that is often referred to is also austenitic stainless steel.
Stainless steel screws are widely used in machinery, petrochemical, communications, chemicals, construction, electric power, textiles, sports equipment, papermaking, sewage treatment, ships, automobiles and other industries. As the domestic economic and living standards greatly improve, the scope of application of stainless steel screws will become more widely.
The blackening of stainless steel screws is usually caused by too high heat generated during cold heading or threading. Usually occurs at the apex of the cross and thread. So it is necessary to realize the timely dispersion of heat through the supply of lubricating oil. The speed of the machine can also be adjusted down appropriately. Increase the barrel polishing when cleaning, and then use organic solution to clean (pay attention to fire prevention)

The choice of materials for making stainless steel screws is mainly considered from the following five aspects.

a. Requirements for material processing performance in terms of production technology;

b. The requirements of working conditions on the corrosion resistance of materials;

c. Requirements for the mechanical properties of stainless steel screw materials, especially strength;

d. The requirements of the working temperature on the heat resistance of the material (high temperature strength, oxidation resistance);

e. Other aspects, such as weight, price, and purchasing factors must be considered.
